Sexual Assault
Any sexual assault offense carries very serious consequences. Colorado Revised Statute Section 18-3-402 explains a sexual assault means sexual intrusion or penetration of a person without their consent. Any person under age is considered not of consensual age. If there is injury to the victim, use of deadly weapon(s), or there is any assistance to the perpetrator by another person, the sexual assault holds a higher felony class. This could include violent crimes in a sexual offense.
